YOGA FOR PITTA: EPISODE 1

Level: Foundation

Length: 43 mins

 Pitta in Ayurveda correlates to the elemental combination in us of Fire & Water. Pitta can get out of balance in all of us, especially if you are a Pitta mind body type.  When Pitta is out of balance we tend to to get judgmental, agitated, heated physically as well as emotionally. Pitta  time of year is typically late spring through summer (Any day that mimics this weather (hot & especially dry days) though can create an imbalance in this Dosha. This doesn’t mean that this is it, Pitta, just like the other Doshas can go out of balance at any time. So in this all levels class we are finding a softness to our hard work, cooling ourselves down by working within our edge rather than always pushing past them. Namaste.

ARMS & BOOTY- PILATES

But don’t worry we get the full body!  Options for push ups, we’ll work our triceps too. And yes we’ll get our ab series in ;). Hitting some squats at the end after some other booty work of course. TURN THE SWITCH – YOGA

Description:  In this Base level class we bring in the yoga sutra “Vitarka-badhane Pratipaksha-Bhavanam” which gives us access to rest on the opposite, the opposite feeling or perspective. In this class we have the opportunity for poses such as Warrior III as our balancing pose and half split and full spilt (Hanumanasana) if it is a part of your practice.
